Fearful Forecast For Week 4
HANOVER – Please don’t tell me you had Brown beating the No. 8 team in the country last week. I won't believe you.
I thought about it. Now it's your turn to not believe me.
Brown's win wasn’t the only one I missed. I also picked Sacred Heart to beat Central Connecticut and got that one wrong, but c’mon, it went to overtime. I was close.
As for why I picked Yale to beat No. 7 Lehigh – on the road no less – that’s a mystery to me.
There are seven games on the slate this week and I’m relatively confident I’ll get at least five right, but you’ll have to wait until next week to find out which five I believe in. Then you'll have to believe me. ;-)
FRIDAY
Cornell (0-1, 0-3) at Harvard (1-0, 3-0)
Harvard keeps beating up on no ones, so they’ll feel right at home in this one. Harvard 42-14
Marist (1-1 PFL, 3-2) at Penn (1-0, 2-1)
I’m not sure Penn is as good as it looked last week but despite the record I’m not sure Marist is good, period. Penn 28-14
Brown (0-1, 2-1) at Bryant (0-3 CAA, 2-4)
Bryant beat UMass and Brown beat URI. Is UMass better than URI? Does it matter? Bryant 21-17
SATURDAY
Lehigh (2-0 Patriot, 6-0) at Columbia (0-1, 1-2)
With a healthy QB Columbia would be in trouble. Their QB is not healthy. Lehigh 35-7
Mercer (4-0 Southern, 4-1) at Princeton (1-0, 2-1)
Princeton has been a surprise so far. No surprise here. Mercer 31-14
New Hampshire (1-1 CAA, 3-3) at URI (2-0 CAA, 4-2)
Are they Rams or Lambs? URI survives a gut check after losing to Brown. URI 26-24
Central Connecticut (1-0 NEC, 3-3) at Robert Morris (0-0, 1-4)
Bobby Mo’s only win to date game against West Liberty. Central Connecticut is no West Liberty. Central Connecticut 35-28
